Charging Infrastructure
There is no doubt: a lot is currently happening in the field of mobility. The next few years will show which changes are necessary and which developments are possible, especially in the area of Electro-mobility. The PEC cooperates with partners to create a better future, and to promote forms of mobility that are powered by self-produced energy and that do not make us dependent on fossil fuel imports. In this way, we will enable local value creation and to prevent local capital from being used for procurement of non-sustainable forms of energy. The new paradigm ensures that humans and the environment, regional companies as well as municipalities will benefit. Our focus: to work together towards strengthening regional value chains.

Electric Mobility
The automotive industry is undergoing a period of upheaval that is strongly influenced by developments in the field of Electro-mobility. Major technological changes in the energy sector open numerous opportunities. Pioneering energy solutions in the field of E-mobility - such as high-performance batteries, autonomous vehicles and alternative drive systems based on hydrogen fuel cells - are playing an increasingly important role.
Battery Technology from Austria
The PEC places its’ focus on an Austrian battery technology, which resulted of continuous professional research and development work of the highest standards. Both the performance and energy density of these batteries are currently among the best in international comparison - a long service life and high safety standards of these power storage units are warranted.
The locally produced batteries are being integrated into local projects, multiplying the regional value addition. The Pongauer Energie Center thinks concepts through holistically.

ABOUT US
The Pongauer Energie Center (PEC) was founded as a limited liability company by Leo Huttegger, a Photovoltaic pioneer and visionary from Salzburg, in collaboration with three other specialists in the field of renewable energy, in April 2018. Together with national partners, the PEC bundles numerous competencies. This applies in particular to the expertise in producing high-performance batteries and other storage systems, the development of renewable energy generation projects (such as solar PV, wind fields, etc.), and advanced know-how in energy efficiency, and intelligent energy management systems.
Through our cooperation with competent partners, we are not only able to appropriately apply and develop new technologies, but also to strengthen the local economy through accompanying measures. Furthermore, by pooling the know-how of our cooperation partners, we can achieve a lot with regard to the topics of energy and development – we aim to also share the knowledge in order to actively promote innovative developments in the local energy sector and in order so we can all benefit from them as a region.
